STUDENT LIFE
We hope that each student will learn to SOAR (serve, overcome, achieve, respect) while attending Lincoln Academy.
Lincoln Academy students are able to learn and grow with their peers from kindergarten through ninth grade. The safety and sense of community of this close-knit group enables learning and opportunities for growth unavailable in schools with larger class sizes and a frequently changing student population.

Athletics
Students in Grades 6-9 are able to participate in the following sports. Each season consists of 12-15 games or matches and a state championship. Lincoln competes against other charter schools in the state.

Driver Education
Those who are old enough to receive their learner’s permit may enroll in the Driver Education course sponsored by Lincoln Academy.
Junior High Houses
Students in the Junior High are divided into four houses based on their homeroom teacher. These houses are the Crowned Eagles, Golden Eagles, Imperial Eagles, and Royal Eagles. Throughout the year, students learn house cheers and compete in house competition to build unity and establish a sense of community with their peers.

Music
Lincoln Academy is home to one of the state’s only touring junior high music programs. Junior High students enrolled in Beginning Band, Beginning Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir,and Symphonic Orchestra have the opportunity to travel to places like Disney Land and Seattle, WA to perform with schools from across the world.
Service
An important element of each student’s effort to SOAR is finding opportunities to serve other Lincoln Academy students and the community.
Student Council
Students who desire to serve their peers in leadership positions can enroll in Student Council or run for student body office. Student Council oversees activities, assemblies, fundraising and service projects throughout the year.
Peer Tutoring
Junior high students have the opportunity to dedicate one period of their semester to Peer Tutoring. Students enrolled in Peer Tutoring may help teachers or staff with specific projects or may be assigned to work with a student in a lower grade level. Students interested in enrolling in Peer Tutoring should talk with their counselor.
Service Projects
Lincoln Academy students participate in service projects throughout the year to benefit the local community.
