Math

My name is Deborah Ferla, I am originally from Brazil. I am thrilled to be a part of Lincoln Academy’s Family. I am excited to share with you what I have to offer as an educator and how I will make a positive impact on students in my classroom.
I have my Associates Degree from Ensign College and a Bachelors from Utah Valley University and having worked in the field of education for over 8 years. I have a diverse perspective into my classroom. My passion for teaching Mathematics stems from my desire to help students change their mindset and not only learn from their mistakes but also celebrate them.
My teaching philosophy revolves around instilling a love for learning and cultivating critical thinking skills. By encouraging curiosity, creativity, and intellectual exploration, I aim to inspire students to become lifelong learners who are equipped to tackle the challenges of the future. I am dedicated to helping students develop essential skills such as effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, which are crucial for success in today’s ever-changing world.
Choosing to work for Lincoln Academy was a natural decision for me. The school’s commitment to excellence in education, its inclusive and supportive community, and its emphasis on holistic development align perfectly with my own values and aspirations as an educator. From the moment I set foot in this vibrant institution, I was impressed by the dedication of the staff, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere that permeates every corner of the campus.
